As the sun rose over the stunning Girona landscape, the stage was set for an exhilarating showdown that would leave spectators and competitors alike on the edge of their seats.

Würtz Schmidt, demonstrating remarkable tenacity, spent over 100km in solitude, deftly navigating the challenging terrain and pulling well ahead of a determined chasing group. His relentless pursuit of victory saw him crossing the finish line with an impressive time of 9 hours, 57 minutes, and 38 seconds, thus succeeding Tobias Kongstad (PAS Racing) as the victor. This remarkable achievement marks back-to-back wins for the Danish cyclist, who previously dominated the 200km event last year. With this victory, Würtz Schmidt becomes the first rider in history to conquer both headline events at The Traka, solidifying his status as a gravel cycling legend.

In a fiercely contested men’s pro field, Hugo Drechou of Gravel Nation claimed second place, while Matt Beers of Specialized Off-Road rounded out the podium in third. The aggressive finale saw the chasing group splinter, with Beers finishing a staggering 11 minutes behind the unstoppable Würtz Schmidt, highlighting the extraordinary gap created by the champion.

Geerike Scheurs of Specialized Off-Road made a valiant effort, completing the podium in third after a prolonged solo chase that showcased her resilience.
