Enrico Zen triumphs at the Gran Fondo Fausto Coppi 2016
1,700 International cyclists tackled the Pian Pietro (1354 m), Colletta di Rossana, la Piatta Soprana (1136 m), Colle Fauniera (2480 m), Madonna del Colletto (1310 m)
Enrico Zen of Team Beraldo Greepaper Biomin, won the 2016 edition of the Granfondo Fausto Coppi, held on Sunday, July 10th in Cuneo, Italy.
He crossed the line after 177km in Galimberti Square with the time of 5:46:36, ahead of Paul Castelnovo (ASD Team UCSA) and Romulus Gentile (Genetik Cycling Team). This year's Gran Fondo rouet included 4125 m of climbing.
Erica Magnaldi, in 6:31:02 (Team De Rosa Santini) was the fastest women ahead of Ils Van Der Moeren (Eponymous Team) and Claudia Gentili (Team Giletti CS).
The Medio Fondo, a distance of 111 km, Jacopo Padoan (FLJ Sport Solution) won with the time 3:38:32, ahead of Filippo Barazzuolo (ASD Cycles Boscaro) and Michael Ray (Team Edilcase 05).
In the women's Medio Fondo, Olga Chiappello (Team De Rosa Santini) won in 4:01:00, ahead of team-mate and Veronese Ilaria Rossella Taravelli (ASD GS Passatore)
