UCI Rejects Claims it Obstructed Motor Testing

UCI rejects claims made by Motor inventor Istvan ‘Stefano’ Varjas at the 2016 Tour de France

In an official statement made yesterday evening, the UCI have countered claims that there was any obstruction in checking Team Bikes at the Tour de France.

“The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) condemns the accusations being made in some news reports concerning the UCI’s commitment to tackle technological fraud and the tests made at this year’s Tour de France,”

“The UCI carried out extensive bike checks using various detection methods in close collaboration with race organiser, French authorities and French law enforcement.”

The statement was made after Istvan ‘Stefano’ Varjas alleged obstruction claims were made recently.
