Cycle Canada Gran Fondo & Century Ride

An out and back century ride from Toronto to Barrie. Each riding day there is a choice of rides between 100 km, 100 miles and a timed Gran Fondo. Kick start your cycling season at the Cycle Canada Century Ride , a classic cycling weekend held annually in May. A get-together of the cycling clans, attracting clubs and riders from Ontario, Quebec and U.S. border states.  Cycle Canada's May event was first held in the spring of 1988. 

The ride from Toronto, leaves from either York University or Finch Subway station both on the northern edge of the greater Toronto region. You'll travel along quiet rural roads and through small villages to our overnight stay in Barrie situated on Kempenfelt Bay on Lake Simcoe.
Century Ride Weekend Schedule

May 24, 2014 Saturday: Pick a Route 100 km or 100 miles km (1 km = .62 miles).

May 25, 2014 Sunday: Pick a Route 100 km or 100 miles

Saturday barbecue buffet dinner: 6:30-7:45 p.m.
Sunday full hot breakfast buffet: 7:00-8:45 a.m.

Fitness Level:
These trips are designed to suit the fitness levels of typical recreational cyclists. We assume that participants are weekend riders who enjoy regular exercise. The terrain for both the 100km and 100mile route is not difficult. Over the years, the age range of those riding with us on the May weekend has been 8 to 80 plus.
