“Love of cycling in Tremblant is indisputable. We’re seeing it with Crossroads Tremblant; the participation and enthusiasm are there,” said Simon St-Arnaud, producer. “It’s really exciting to see the community coming together in this way."

"Tremblant has something for everyone; new itineraries on gravel, trails, paved roads, activities for youth and family-friendly biking roads. We hope everyone will make the most of it all summer long! ”

Notable new features at this edition

Children were treated royally over the weekend, with several organized activities designed especially for their enjoyment: Parc Crossroads, created just for kids; bike camps with coaches from MTB Performance; an obstacle course; a dirt jump show with The Rise, and much more. Seeing the young riders having such a great time left no doubt in our minds that Crossroads is truly a family affair!

Some hundred riders also rose to the Gravel Fondo challenge, a unique ride on gravel trails. The organizers worked with Ville de Labelle and parc National du Mont-Tremblantto set up a remarkable course, off the beaten paths and with its share of challenging features, all in an area that is less known, mostly clear of motor vehicle traffic, and with stunningly beautiful landscapes.

Canada-Quebec Cup: Quebec’s riders distinguish themselves in the downhill!

Many local athletes distinguished themselves in the first race of the Canada and

Quebec Cup series, on a course that had been revamped for the occasion. In the Senior Elite men’s event, we saw a Quebec podium sweep topped by Hugo Langevin,

coming in first for the second consecutive year with a 3.35-second lead over Jonathan Lefrançois, the man who was in charge of building the DH course. Samuel Thibault

rounded out the top three after finishing mere centimetres behind Lefrançois. On the women’s side, the American rider Mazie Hayden practically flew over the course,

finishing first and nearly 30 seconds ahead of the nearest competitor.

Canada had a respectable showing in the women’s cross-country event. Maghalie

Rochette defended her champion’s title for the second year with an excellent time of

1:35:08. Ontarian Emily Unterberger made it to the second step of the podium and Roxanne Vermette of Saint-Ferréol Les-Neiges placed third. In the men’s group, local athlete Félix Burke didn’t make the podium but was nonetheless pleased with his race.
