Gorge Gravel, April 28th 2024
Gorge Gravel is the largest gravel event in the Pacific Northwest and perfect early spring event for beginner riders to seasoned gravel gurus! Test your fitness coming out of the winter with beautiful views, pure gravel camaraderie, and a pre and post-ride celebration based in Oregon's gem of gravel, Dufur. Gorge offers challenging competition for racers and also a supportive, inclusive ride for fresh gravel converts, with the innovative gravel pace group program.
Dufur is one of the best springtime riding secrets in the Northwest. Moderate marine air flowing inland from the coast, coupled with being just on the other side of the Cascade Mountain Range rain shadow, it’s your best bet for sun and warm temps from March through May each year. Surrounding the amazing town of Dufur are hundreds of miles of gravel farm roads with little to no motor traffic on them.
Gorge sold out last year and the team at Breakaway Promotions wants to make sure you can saddle up for this early-season gravel grinder with something for every riding level with the 52-mile Small Grinder (great for first-time racers!), 67-mile Medium Grinder, and the 93-mile Big Grinder.
Categories include, pro, open, junior and masters. Awards go to the top three for each category.
Registration includes; a Custom Pint Glass, Lunch, Custom T-Shirt, Beer, Well Stocked Aid Stations, Well Marked and Amazing Courses, Chip Timing and Mechanical Support!
The well-stocked aid stations are located every 20-25 miles along the course. There is tent camping, car camping, RV hookup spots available for rent at Dufur City Park.
There will be a Party in the Park after the ride. Bring your appetite as Cobblestone Catering will be providing everyone with an awesome lunch. There will be music, a beer garden, and games on hand to keep you entertained.
Cascade Gravel, June 2nd 2024
Cascade Gravel is one of the most scenic and diverse gravel events in the country. Located in Sisters, Oregon the event will provide an amazing ride through the Central Oregon high desert and Cascade Mountain Range.
Average daily temps range between 60-80 degrees with temperatures dipping slightly as you ride up to higher elevations in the Cascade Mountain range. The Bend area is home to thousands of miles of remote gravel roads, where deer outnumber cars 10 to 1. June is a great time of year for experiencing the beauty of Central Oregon. The air is clear, the mountains still gleam with white snow and roads have minimal dust factor. Add to that great lodging rates and you have the perfect opportunity to enjoy Sisters.

Oregon Trail Gravel, June 26-30th 2024
The 2024 Oregon Trail Gravel starts later, June 26th to June 30th, 2024, and is the undisputed “Grand Tour of Gravel” in the world. It’s for racers AND adventure riders who want to test their limits and push personal boundaries.This is an all-inclusive Bike Vacation!
Your adventure will start and finish in the outdoor mecca of Bend, Oregon and will pass through 365 miles of Oregon’s most scenic and breathtaking gravel roads, with fully-supported fireside campouts and entertainment to rest and refuel each night.
Riders have the option to pick the following categories:
- Pioneer ~ 350 miles, 30K climbing
- Settler ~250 miles, 15K climbing
- Iron Horse- E-bike category doing the Settler distance
- Tag Team- Tackle the Pioneer distance with one of your best friends and alternate days of riding and relaxing
- Buddy Package- sign-up with a friend and get the best deal possible
NEW for 2024, there is less elevation and smoother/faster courses next year allowing for more competitive racing and more energy to enjoy camp each night! Breakaway Promotions are also excited to be back at Camp Gilchrist next year! In addition, they are going to introduce a couple of new zones further south to showcase brand-new regions that have not been explored. There will be major upgrades to the snack shack to keep everyone happy!
This five-day event starting in Bend will challenge and reward racers and adventure riders not only on the epic days in the saddle, but also every night back at camp. Each stage has two distances, one for Settlers and Pioneers.
