THREE ROLLING & SCENIC COURSES
Escape the cold and start your season with the 2026 Gran Fondo Florida, Contained in Pasco County, FL, all three Gran Fondo Florida routes feature quiet country roads and rolling hills through picturesque horse farms.
Arguably the “easiest” event of the Gran Fondo National Series based on total elevation gain, but with nonstop rolling hills it’s the hardest gran fondo in Florida and rewards riders who can work well in groups.
Central Florida’s Pasco County is full of picturesque horse farms and orange groves. The quiet roads are great for cycling and it’s conveniently located one hour north of Tampa and 90 minutes west of Orlando. Come in early or extend your stay to visit the beaches in Tampa and St Petersburg, or the Walt Disney World theme park in Orlando.

The 35 mile Piccolo route contains 1,428 feet of climbing for younger, novice and beginner cyclists. The 69 mile Medio route contains 2,714 feet of climbing and is ideal for intermediate cyclists or those who are still building base endurance for the 2026 season. The 98 mile Gran route packs in 3,063 feet of climbing. Who said Florida is flat?
TIMED SEGMENT RACING
With timed-segment competitions, your overall time from start to finish does not matter. Only the timed segments count. Your overall, and age group rankings are determined by your combined time for all timed segments on the route you choose.
Time Section #1 (Counts for 98, 69 and 35 mile riders)
Time Section #2 (Counts for 98 and 69 mile riders)
Time Section #3 (Counts for 98 mile riders only)
Time Section #4 (Counts for 98 and 69 mile riders)

QUALIFY FOR #GFNATS
The 2026 USA Cycling Gran Fondo National Championship event will be held at Gran Fondo Maryland. To compete in the National Championship category riders must qualify (see qualification criteria). Riders do not need to qualify to participate in Gran Fondo Maryland. All normal Maryland Gran Fondo routes (Gran, Medio, Piccolo) are open to all riders to register and do not require qualification.
EARN SERIES POINTS
Riders can earn Series Points through participation and results in Series owned and partner events. Your top 3 results count toward the season-long points competition. Series Champions are awarded at the final event of the season.

FRIENDLY COMPETITION WHILST ENJOYING A SOCIAL RIDE
The timed segment format allows riders to be social and competitive within the same event.
During the timed segments, cyclists who choose to compete can "show their strength" and record fast times. When you’re outside those timed sections, everyone has the opportunity to regroup, ride together, enjoy the beautiful scenery, relax, and stop at aid stations.
No racing license is required, and support includes fully stocked aid stations and SAG support to keep you going.
