The largest mountain is the 1,956 m (6,417 ft) Morro de la Agujereada. Gran Canaria sits in the middle of Tenerife in the west and Lanzarote in the east. It’s is easy to get to, between 3 to 4 hours from mainland Europe and the UK.

The 3 day cycling festival includes 2 stages with 3 timed sections that count towards the general classification and podium prizes across a wide range of age categories for both men and women.

The views across the island are breathtaking with quiet mountain roads, the average temperature is around 65F (18C) in the day - perfect for cycling.

The two stages start from the host Hotel Riu Palace Maspalomas in the southeast of the island located in the Mirador de las Dunas, a wonderland of dunes, with the Atlantic Ocean on one side and the foothills of the Tirajana volcano to the north.
