Distances: 10, 40km
Difficulty: Basically flat, no steep hills

Ride Around The Lake is Illawarra’s very own charity recreational cycle that takes annually in May. The ride is about ‘breaking the cycle’ of homeless youth, by raising awareness and funds for Lighthouse Youth Initiative. Hundreds take part, with a safe scenic course and based on participation. It is a fun ride the whole family can take part in, not a race. There is a 40 kilometre circuit that takes in Lake Illawarra, and more than 10 scenic suburbs, and a 10 kilometre cycle path event for younger riders and families.
