Gorge Gravel kick-starts the 2026 Oregon Gravel Series with all NEW courses, Jr. Rider Program, and Festival Weekend

Dust off your saddle and get ready for this early season, spring gravel grinder this April 26th 2026.  This one-day event offers three distance options, remarkable views, and buttery smooth roads- perfect for the first-time rider, experienced gravel guru, and elite cyclist alike!

It offers challenging competition for racers and a supportive and inclusive ride for gravel converts.  All three courses are new for 2026, updating the previous courses …

The courses offer great views of the Gorge and surrounding Cascade Mountain peaks with well packed, smooth and fast gravel roads. There is a mix of pavement and gravel for each ride distance.

Temperatures hit mid 60’s in late April with a glimpse of the warmth of summer and the smell of spring in the air. Spring rains provide good moisture keeping the dust down. No portion of the courses exceeds double digits for climbing or descending. Just a lot of fast rolling hills through Eastern Oregon’s wheat country, for you to work on your form and admire the spectacular views.

More Junior’s on Gravel - Building the Future of Gravel!

Breakaway Promotion is proud to further its commitment to growing the sport by investing in the next generation of riders. In an effort to promote greater participation in gravel cycling among young athletes, Breakaway Promotion has created the More Juniors on Gravel program, an initiative designed to lower barriers, spark curiosity, and provide meaningful opportunities for junior riders to experience the challenge, camaraderie, and adventure that define gravel cycling. By welcoming juniors into the gravel community, we aim to inspire lifelong riders while strengthening the future of the sport.

All junior riders may register in the Junior category at half price for any distance at Gorge Gravel and/or Cascade Gravel. Additional junior spots may also become available through donated entries from registered riders or as donations through cancellations that occur. When a cancellation-donation entry is received, that single standard entry will be converted into two junior entries, helping expand access and participation for young riders.  Juniors currently registered will receive a refund of their entry fees, as entry donations are given.
