With just over one month to go, total registrations have already exceeded the final participation figure of the 2025 edition, confirming the events steady growth and consolidating its position as one of the leading international races within the UCI Gran Fondo World Series circuit. At the current registration pace, the event is clearly heading towards 2,000 participants — which would mark a new participation record.

Economic Impact and International Reach

Registration data highlights the significant economic and tourism impact of the event:

•            85.6% of participants come from outside the province of Castellón
•            62% travel from outside the Valencian Community
•            12% are international cyclists
•            34 nationalities are represented

These figures confirm that The Millars is much more than a sporting event. It is a strong tourism driver, generating hotel stays, restaurant activity and economic impact throughout the entire race weekend.

Castellón continues to strengthen its position as an international destination for cycling and high-quality active tourism.

A Demanding and Iconic Course

The 2026 edition will feature a 156-kilometre route with 2,200 metres of elevation gain, creating a physically and strategically demanding challenge. The course will pass through iconic locations such as the Sierra de Espadán, the Salto del Caballo climb and the Alt Millars region, combining toughness, scenic beauty and a high level of organisational safety.

Cyclists compete across 20 age groups. All finishers who complete the course within the official time limit will receive the events official finisher medal, while the fastest 25% in each age group will earn the official UCI medal, granting qualification for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships.

Johan Museeuw, Event Ambassador

The 2026 edition will also feature Belgian cycling legend Johan Museeuw as event ambassador. A former World Champion and one of the most iconic figures in international cycling, Museeuw is a three-time winner of Paris–Roubaix and the Tour of Flanders.

His presence strengthens the international positioning of The Millars and reinforces its connection with the historic elite of world cycling.

Final Stretch Towards a Sold-Out Edition

Registrations are now in their final phase and, based on the current trend, the event is expected to reach its participation limit before the official closing date.

The organisation strongly recommends securing a place as soon as possible to guarantee entry in what is shaping up to be a sold-out edition in the coming weeks.

The Millars 2026 enters its decisive phase, confirming its growth and further projecting Castellón as an international host city for high-level cycling events.
