Robber reported inside Lance Armstrong’s Aspen Home

911 calls from Lance Armstrong home traced to kids

Aspen, Colorado, August 17th - Two 911 calls Tuesday morning reporting a “robber” inside Lance Armstrong’s West End home lit a fire under Aspen police and four units went screaming up to the house, sources said.

They arrived within three minutes — about 9:30 a.m. — and found several adults hanging out on the front porch, while a group of children were preparing to leave on their bikes, said Aspen police Detective Jeff Fain, one of those who responded.

“They were kind of surprised,” said Officer Adriano Minniti, who also responded.

Officers, meanwhile, approached the home from both the front and the back and were ready to cordon off the home to try and deal with the situation, Fain said.

"That’s because the first call, which came in at 9:23 a.m., was from a child reporting “a robber in the room,” Fain said. A second 911 call came right afterward from another child, who said the robber was “stealing toys and money,” he said. A third 911 hangup call came in just as officers arrived, he said.

Adults at the home checked the inside and then figured out the kids, who were all under 10, made prank calls, Fain said. The parents were not happy at all, Minniti said.

“They had the kids come up and apologize to us,” Minniti said. “We told them we take 911 calls seriously.”

Fain said that while Armstrong’s name came up in the 911 call log because the call was made from a land line, the reason for the quick response was the report of a “robber” in the house.

Is was recently reported that Lance Armstrong’s Aspen residence in the West End was put into a deed of trust by SCA Promotions after a legal ruling. A public record filed in Aspen recently sheds some light on the agreement that was rumoured to be a settlement worth $10 million dollars.
