Ineos Grenadiers Team Vehicles vandalized in Belgium
Even though it is the main sponsor of one of the largest cycling teams, Ineos is not the most popular company in the world
Four people have been arrested for vandalizing vehicles belonging to the Ineos Grenadiers team in Flanders.
Six team vehicles were vandalized. Some were spray-painted with graffiti, and others were wrapped in foil. Aerosol cans were found at the scene.
Some vehicles were vandalized with the words “Ineos will fall.” As Het Nieuwsblad notes, that slogan is being used by some groups protesting the construction of a new factory being built by the team’s sponsor, chemical company Ineos, in Antwerp.
The incident occurred in the town of Deinze, where the Ineos team’s service course is located

It’s not the first time Ineos has been targeted by environmentalists. An anti fracking group had threatened to spoil the team’s launch of Ineos as its new backer in May, 2019, at the Tour de Yorkshire.
