Haute Route and TrainingPeaks Partner to Offer Top-of-the-Line Online Endurance Training
Leading endurance sports software provider will host exclusive Haute Route cycling training programs and provide Haute Route participants with complimentary accounts
COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. (March 8, 2018) – Haute Route, the most prestigious multi-day event series for amateur cycling worldwide, and TrainingPeaks, the leading endurance training app and software provider for athletes and coaches, today announced a partnership to offer top-of-the-line online endurance training and special account benefits for Haute Route riders. As part of the partnership, Haute Route will offer all of its event participants exclusive Haute Route training plans and account benefits to allow Haute Route riders to better plan, track and analyze their training, record their workouts and map their routes. The TrainingPeaks platform will help cyclists of all levels reach their true athletic potential.
“Haute Route strives to offer our participants an unmatched, premium experience from start to finish and the TrainingPeaks partnership enables us to provide access to top-of-the-line online training tools before the riders even get to our events,” said Haute Route North America Chairman Alain Lambert. “Athletes who do not yet have a coach will have the opportunity to access unique training plans designed to help them achieve their event goals, enhancing their experience from the moment they sign up.”
Now, Haute Route athletes can receive expert instruction, perform structured training, and get immediate feedback on the TrainingPeaks integrated web, mobile and desktop platform. Haute Route participants can also purchase a discounted premium TrainingPeaks account or receive a 30-day trial for access to analytic software and data-driven predictive tools to gain insight into their own unique strengths and weaknesses, among other features. The Haute Route’s Official Coaching Partner, CTS, has been a long-time user of the TrainingPeaks platform.
"TrainingPeaks is excited to partner with Haute Route to provide athletes with the best possible training experience leading up to their event,” said TrainingPeaks Vice President of Marketing Justin Walk. "Whether they are training with a coach or using one of the event specific training plans, we want to help make sure riders are prepared to take on any challenge."
As a result of the collaboration, Haute Route corporate teams and riders under the age of 23 will receive premium TrainingPeaks accounts for free under Haute Route’s “U23 $23 Special,” which offers riders under the age of 23 the opportunity to participate in any event in the Gran Fondo National Series (GFNS) for $23. TrainingPeaks subscribers will also be able to purchase Haute Route’s exclusive training programs through the platform.
The TrainingPeaks partnership is the latest in a series of recent agreements Haute Route has announced to support the growth of the amateur cycling community. In addition to partnering with GFNS, Haute Route expanded an agreement with Carmichael Training Systems, the world-wide leader in endurance training, as its exclusive coaching partner for all U.S. events. Haute Route also added World Bicycle Relief and Project Hero as designated charity partners for all North American events and USA Cycling as a partner.
