REFRESHED ROUTES FOR 2026 GRAN FONDO FLORIDA THIS MARCH 22ND
The Gran Fondo National Series has announced new routes to take advantage of quieter roads and less intersections. The event offers three scenic road cycling routes and kick-starts the 2026 SENA Gran Fondo National Series.
Gran Fondo Florida has always featured quiet roads in Pasco County, Florida. As communities change, we adjust our routes to take advantage of quiet roads and low-stress intersections. Don't miss this annual cycling adventure in the rolling hills of Central Florida. With a start/finish and festival Dade City and 3 scenic routes, this is the must-ride event of the spring!
Join GFNS in Dade City, Florida on Sunday, March 22 for a great ride in the Florida sunshine!

KEY FEATURES FOR 2026 GRAN FONDO FLORIDA
3 Updated Routes on Quiet Roads
Pasco County isn't quite as rural as it was when Gran Fondo Florida began. We have thoughtfully updated our Gran, Medio, and Piccolo routes for 2026 to use roads with less traffic, fewer intersections, and more scenery. Routes will be available for download to devices and the courses will be well marked with signs and paint on the pavement.
Wave Starts
To reduce congestion on local roads and give all riders more space to enjoy the scenic course, we are using a wave start process with 25 riders departing every 5 minutes. Reserve your start time during registration.
LOCK IN NOW TO GET A CUSTOM EVENT JERSEY FROM SUAREZ!
For 2026 GFNS are including an event-specific custom jersey from SUAREZ Cycling Apparel when you register at least 30 days before a Gran Fondo National Series owned event!

QUALIFY FOR #GFNATS
The 2026 USA Cycling Gran Fondo National Championship event will be held at Gran Fondo Maryland. To compete in the National Championship category riders must qualify (see qualification criteria). Riders do not need to qualify to participate in Gran Fondo Maryland. All normal Maryland Gran Fondo routes (Gran, Medio, Piccolo) are open to all riders to register and do not require qualification.
EARN SERIES POINTS
Riders can earn Series Points through participation and results in Series owned and partner events. Your top 3 results count toward the season-long points competition. Series Champions are awarded at the final event of the season.

FRIENDLY COMPETITION WHILST ENJOYING A SOCIAL RIDE
The timed segment format allows riders to be social and competitive within the same event.
During the timed segments, cyclists who choose to compete can "show their strength" and record fast times. When you’re outside those timed sections, everyone has the opportunity to regroup, ride together, enjoy the beautiful scenery, relax, and stop at aid stations.
No racing license is required, and support includes fully stocked aid stations and SAG support to keep you going.

SOLO, TEAM AND AGE CATEGORIES AWARDS
Timed segments are typically 4 for Gran route, 2 for the Medio route, and only section 1 for Piccolo riders.
- Awards presented three deep for each age group category for fastest section times
- Custom SUAREZ winners kits for all Gran Route age group category winners
- Awards and for top 3 riders in each age category for Gran, Medio and Piccolo winners
- Finisher Medals for Gran, Medio and Piccolo finishers
