The UCI and Golazo renew their partnership for the UCI World Series for Gran Fondo and Gravel
The Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) and Golazo are pleased to announce the extension of their partnership for the organisation of the UCI Gravel World Series and the UCI Gran Fondo World Series through to the end of 2030.
The UCI and the Belgian sports marketing and event organisation company Golazo joined forces in 2011 to create a global calendar of mass participation road cycling events, leading to the launch of the UCI Gran Fondo World Series. Building on that success, the UCI Gravel World Series was introduced in 2022.
The two series offer amateur age-group riders the opportunity to qualify for the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships and the UCI Gravel World Championships, respectively. Qualification is open to riders in different categories based on age and gender, making the two UCI World Championships truly inclusive and globally representative. The popularity of both series continues to grow, with events now held across all five continents.
The 2025 UCI Gravel World Championships took place on 11 and 12 October in South Limburg, the Netherlands, with the participation of 2,953 athletes from 53 countries. This week (16 to 19 October) the UCI Gran Fondo World Championships are being held in Lorne and Geelong in the state of Victoria, in south-eastern Australia, with 2,069 athletes competing.

Each year, the calendars for the UCI Gran Fondo World Series and UCI Gravel World Series have expanded, and the number of participants has grown. This is demonstration of the success of these two series, and we are delighted this success will continue thanks to the extension of our collaboration with Golazo until the end of 2030.”
