The Last Grizzly Gravel is a 3-day all-inclusive gravel bike ride and race, transversing Utah and Idaho with spectacular views of the Bear Lake, a natural freshwater lake on the Idaho–Utah border in the Western United States. About 109 square miles in size, it is split about equally between the two states; its Utah portion comprises the second-largest natural freshwater lake in Utah, after Utah Lake.

Bear Lake is known as the “Caribbean of the Rockies” for its unique turquoise-blue color. The intense and vibrant color of Bear Lake is due to the refraction of limestone deposits (calcium carbonate) from the Bear River Range suspended in the lake waters and reflecting the natural blue color back up to the surface.
