Jose Joaquin Rojas posted the photos on Twitter after surgery following his crash at the Vuelta a Espana showing some terrifying scars.
Rojas was decending at high speed and couldn't make a bend. He came into contact with a barrier and ended up going underneath.
The impact broke his tibia and fibula, Rojas was moved, conscious, stable and calm, yet in huge pain and was rushed to Hospital Virgen de los Lirios in Alcoy.
The Spanish National Champion will spend the whole winter to recovering from his injury planning to return to racing next season.
