Arnold Schwarzenegger’s cycling Terminated by German Police

Arnold Schwarzenegger was stopped by German police in Munich’s Oktoberfest train station on Saturday, Oct. 1. The Hollywood star of Terminator was cycling at high speed through the station during a busy rush hour period around lunchtime when he was stopped.

In a statement, Munich police say two cyclists were spotted riding through the busy station when one was stopped and warned for his improper conduct. The cyclist answered that he needed to leave quickly because he was Schwarzenegger’s body guard before he cycled away down one of the stations dead-end platforms away from the police.

The officers thinking it was all a bad joke waited for the cyclist to return from the platform. When he did, he was accompanied by the former governor of California. The statement continued, saying the star-struck officer “found his voice again” and warned the pair that cycling at high speeds through the station was dangerous.

In response, Schwarzenegger replied that he was on the bike because he was having trouble walking. Instead of paying a fine, Schwarzenegger offered to pose for a photo with the officer. Schwarzenegger—who is a dual American and Austrian citizen and is a native German speaker—also apologized for his and his bodyguard’s mistake.

The picture has since made it’s way onto social media. The police tweeted that unfortunately even for the Terminator, cycling is prohibited in Munich’s train station.

Hasta la vista baby!
