Source Endurance adds Professional Mountain Biker Nikki Peterson M.Ed. to the coaching lineup

San Diego, CA: Nikki Peterson M.Ed. joins the Source Endurance team as a cycling coach. A life-long endurance athlete, who kicked off her career as a runner, she garnered 11 state titles in cross country and track & field before college. Nikki is still the only person in Nevada’s history to win state titles in cross country and the 400m, 800m, 1600m, and 320m (‘01 and ‘02) and holds state records in the 800m (‘02) and 1600m (‘01). She earned an athletic scholarship at Indiana University and University of Wyoming and graduated from University of Wyoming with a B.S. in Human Food and Nutrition. During her bachelor’s degree, she worked in the Nutrition and Exercise lab for four years and has been published multiple times for research on vitamin D in the athletic population. She went on to complete her M.A. in Education and Teaching at Alliant International University.

In 2016, Nikki found the mountain bike, excelling quickly and ultimately getting her UCI Professional License in one year. She co-founded KS Kenda Women’s Elite MTB, which focuses on getting more women and girls on bikes by creating an inclusive and open environment with outreach in communities. In addition to coaching with Source Endurance, Nikki is also the current Program Coordinator for SoCal NICA (National Interscholastic Cycling Association) and on the Advisory Council for CAMTB (California Mountain Biking Coalition).

Nikki believes that the key to reaching goals on the bike lies in keeping riding fun while pushing limits. She is excited to help clients reach their full potential while juggling life’s demands. Learn more about Nikki and get connected with her at https://source-e.net/other-services/our-coaches/.
