Registrations for the UCI Gran Fondo World Series are Running Well

With only a few weeks to the first qualifier event of 2016, organizers are busy preparing their events and taking registrations. It often pays off to register early to get a discount. A resume of the early bird rates and actual status of registrations are here below.

The UCI Gran Fondo World Series Perth have closed down registrations with 402 registered riders for the time trial and 962 for the Granfondo which is a new record. All riders are keen to test courses for the upcoming World Championships in September.

Forrest Grape Ride already have 1200 registered riders with a lot more Aussies willing to qualify for Perth. They expect to arrive around 2000 starters in the end.

Rhodes Gran Fondo Tour is held for the first time on the Greek Island. The organizers have no early bird discount, but have special offers for 4 and 5 star hotel accommodations for participants. Check their website for more information.

Gran Fondo Denmark also just opened registrations and has got more than 100 registered riders from which 40% are foreigners. There is no special discount for early registered riders.

The very successful first edition of the Tour of Cambridgeshire will most likely attract even more riders for its second edition. The time trial was sold out in a few weeks, but riders can ask to be put on a reserve list while the Granfondo has already over 5,000 registered riders at the moment. The maximum there is 8,000.

Maraton Franja just opened registrations and had already 135 riders signing up in the first five days. The rates are going up from 26 EUROS until the 15th of May towards 35, 40 and finally 45 on the day of the event, so it pays off to register early. There are also discounts for the time trial and the combi of both disciplines.

The Niseko Classic has already more than 200 riders registered for both distances and entries are coming in fast in the past weeks. Registration fees are 14,000 Yen for the long distance or 7,000 Yen for the short distance. The organizers also have rates for accommodation for participants.
