2024 Nove Colli expands with new Gravel Fondo

Gravel riders who can choose between two new courses. All within the splendid atmosphere and quality of Nove Colli incluidng the finish line celebrations and iconic pasta party

After the devastating floods last year, it has been months of work, technical meetings, and effort on the part of Fausto Coppi club and various local administrations, the 2024 editon returns to the traditional route with charm and tradition.

Traditional Road Routes Return

The Gran Fondo covers a total of 194 km with an elevation gain of 3,880 meters. It starts from the seafront of Cesenatico to tackle the traditional nine hills: Polenta, Pieve di Rivoschio, Ciola, Barbotto, Montetiffi, Perticara, Pugliano, Passo delle Siepi, and Sogliano before returning to Cesenatico.

The Medio Fondo in the first part will be similar to the long one up to the junction between the two routes located at km 95 after the Barbotto climb.

"Laltro percorso" aka (Piccolo Fondo) was a beautiful new route last year and returns with its friendly distance of 60 km with an elevation gain of 650 meters and passages from the Castle of Ribano, Sogliano, Savignano, and the descent of Cioca with the 18 hairpin turns that have made it known to all as the "Little Stelvio".

All NEW Gravel Fondo

There are two routes, which traditionally, are no walk in the park. The medium Gravel Fondo is 85 km and 1,100m of climbing, and the long Gravel Fondo is 130 km and 2,400m of climbing.

The Gravel routes will be self-managed with GPS data but marked at the most intricate points. Competitors can enjoy the same refreshment stations as the road race and can celebrate together at the final pasta party. As always, the race pack will be rich, featuring a Gravel technical jersey with customized Nove Colli Gobik graphics, Enervit nutritional elements, and much more.

To enhance the experience, the organization will be enriched by two super collaborators: former professional Gian Paolo Mondini, who has embraced this world and knows the routes and needs of this new discipline, and Paolo Ballardini, already known as an organizer of gravel events like "Il Romagnolo Audace" and others.
