Levi Leipheimer partners with the Oregon GranFondo
In support of at-risk youth, former professional cyclist Levi Leipheimer partners with the Oregon GranFondo for the 6th edition of the ride on Sunday May 21, in Eugene Oregon
Levi seeks to expand the ability of his nonprofit, the King Ridge Foundation, to support at-risk youth nationwide. The event will benefit the local homeless youth advocacy group HOSEA of Lane County.
The partnership also represents the public launch of the King Ridge Connect Programwhich is intended to give cyclists, individuals, and small groups the opportunity to support an at-risk youth organizations of their choice in their home communities, anywhere in the country.
Over the past nine years Levi has helped raise more than two million dollars for kids and charities local to Santa Rosa CA, though his cycling event, Levi’s GranFondo.
Levi’s GranFondo is one of the most recognized cycling events in North America, attracting thousands of cyclists from all over the world each year. Levi hopes to leverage the acclaim of his event to continue helping others.
A speaking engagement with Levi and orthopedic specialist Dr Dan Sheerin, will be available at Slocum Center for Orthopedics & Sports Medicine the Saturday before the event along with packet pick up.
